UrgoTul Range

The UrgoTul range features the TLC healing matrix technology designed to optimise wound healing. UrgoTul’s lipido-colloid dressing provides a moist, pain-free environment to support the skin’s natural healing process.

Technology behind UrgoTul Range

UrgoTul is a non-occlusive flexible and conformable dressing comprising of a polyester mesh impregnated with Technology Lipido-Colloid (TLC) healing matrix.

Thanks to its hydrophilic gellification, when in contact with wound exudates, the hydrocolloid particles gel and interact with the petrolatum component of UrgoTul to form a lipido-colloid gel in contact with the wound, providing and maintaining a moist environment that promotes the healing process.1,2,3,4 UrgoTul has pro-healing efficacy, stimulating the proliferation of fibroblasts – enabling the key cells for healing.4,5 It is easy to remove, atraumatic for wound and perilesional skin at the time of removal, and painless for patients.

Key benefits of UrgoTul Range

The UrgoTul range can be beneficial for wound care in the following ways:

Provides and maintains a moist environment that promotes healing.
Atraumatic removal that doesn’t damage any newly formed granulation tissue.
Provides pain-free dressing changes for the patient.

What is UrgoTul dressing?

UrgoTul is a range of advanced lipido-colloid dressings, utilising the TLC healing matrix technology to support better wound healing. A versatile care solution, the UrgoTul lipido-colloid dressing range is used for managing acute wounds (burns, traumatic wounds, abrasions, post-operative wounds) and chronic wounds (leg ulcers, pressure ulcers and diabetic foot ulcers) at the granulation and epithelialisation stage, as well as Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).

What is UrgoTul dressing used for?

The UrgoTul Technology Lipido-Colloid (TLC) range carries a variety of wound dressing products used for supporting wound care from the initial phase through until complete healing. Thanks to its hydrophilic gelification on contact with wound exudate and the lipophilic substances within the TLC healing matrix, UrgoTul helps maintain the moist environment necessary for wound healing, while remaining non-adhesive and gentle on wounds with weakened or sensitive surrounding skin.

UrgoTul dressings are clinically used for the management of:

Acute wounds

Second-degree burns
Traumatic wounds
Dermabrasions
Post-operative and surgical wounds

Chronic wounds

Leg ulcers
Pressure ulcers (including those in the sacral and heel areas)
Diabetic foot ulcers

Specialised wound types

Fungating wounds (in combination with specific treatment)
Wounds associated with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB)

Enhances healing & protects wounds

The UrgoTul range is engineered to support healing and provide comfort and protection for the patient. Its properties promote a gentle healing process for the skin, making it a reliable choice in wound care.

UrgoTul TLC healing matrix for wounds
Promotes healing: stimulates fibroblast proliferation to support the healing process.
Pain-free removal: the Technology Lipido-Colloid healing matrix does not adhere to the wound, allowing pain-free dressing changes for the patient.
Protects surrounding skin: the TLC healing matrix gelifies on contact with the wound and does not dry out, protecting both the wound and the surrounding skin. Its non-occlusive open mesh structure allows exudate to pass through into an absorbent secondary dressing, reducing the risk of maceration.

How does UrgoTul dressing work?

UrgoTul’s lipido-colloid technology creates a curative environment upon contact with wound exudate that stimulates key healing cells (fibroblasts), promoting faster, more effective tissue repair and granulation.
